DumbCMS v1 is going to be really great compared to previous versions, however it is very important to me (because I’m going to be using it a lot) that everything works really well and that it is a viable alternative for most users when setting up a simple or complex website. Therefore I have drawn together this list of aims for what I plan to do with it:
- Fully extensible and easy to develop plugins with PHP with a simple installation mechanism (upload a .zip or similar)
- Really easy installer
- Clean URLs (achieved)
- Extensible in terms of templates
- Comes with many default features such as:
- Complex admin system that allows for creative websites
- Best possible blogging system
- Audio podcasts
- Video podcasts
- Image slideshows
- Forums (might not be introduced in v1, but will probably be released as a plug-in shortly afterwards)
- Statistics via Google Analytics
- Polls (via plug-in)
I keep saying to poeple that DumbCMS will be made available soon, however if I\\\’m honest I don\\\’t have a clue when I’ll release it, but with any luck it will be by the end of the year…
