Anecdote for the Day

Honestly, all this Alternative Voting system garbage is most confusing. Why can’t we just have a system where the person with the most votes wins? Oh yeah, that’s what we’ve got at the moment.

UPDATE (18:38): Lol. Only two of the overall 186 constituencies that have announced the referendum results said yes…

UPDATE (18:41): Another yes result, brings it up to 3:184.

UPDATE (18:44): On Twitter there are hundreds of tweets coming in on the results – mostly NO.

UPDATE: (18:46): BBC reckons 69% will say NO. Approximately 41% of those registered to vote have voted.

UPDATE (18:49): Islington just said yes. 4:184

UPDATE (18:50): Should get full results in about an hour.

UPDATE (18:53): Cambridge said yes ! (And its largely right wing). 5:184.

UPDATE (18:56): Camdem said Yes. 6:184.

UPDATE (19:03): If current pattern continues, we will make it impossible for AV to win very soon, the NO vote needs more than 220 votes, currently has enough to meet that.
